Content writing — As the name suggests is a process which involves planning, structuring, writing and editing content relevant to a particular topic. The content can be displayed on websites, posts, articles, blogs etc.
This would be a typical definition of the phrase, Which did not help me much.
But after joining the boot camp on content writing, I got to understand the process of content writing and at the same time perform it practically.
If pursuing content writing, the following things should be kept in mind:
1) Content writing is neither tough nor easy; it totally depends on a person’s mindset of perceiving it. If a person is passionate about it, he/she will surely deliver even if it takes hundred or so tries.
After all “practice makes a man perfect.”
2) It involves understanding the requirements of both the client as well as the target audience.
3) Even if pursued as hobby, being good at it can help an individual to earn money.
4) Using a lot of technical jargon's or difficult language, Is not necessary to get a point across the audience, In fact it will work in a contradictory manner and a lot of readers would lose interest quickly in such piece of content.
5) A major aspect of the process of content writing is Research. Researching a topic before writing about it is a must. But plagiarizing content is a big no. Research should be done very wisely, and fake and bad quality content should be avoided. Hence research should be filtered by using SEO.
6) One should always remember the rule of 5 C’s
Which include content, consistency, clarity, connections and creativity.
