Titanfall 1 was one of the best games I have probably ever played. With unique combat and customisation options. It truly was one of the best games of its time and will forever hold a place in my heart. Here’s my story, my journey.
I Discovered this gem long ago. My dad had played it but had lost interest. So I asked him if I could play it and he said no.
So I played it anyway. AND I LOVED IT.
I maxed out almost everything there was to max, in the first year. I was definitely not the best player but I was on that grind.
As I developed and grew so did my skills I was a respected player who held strong ties of friendship with other pilots. The game was great, the people wonderful.
Then Titanfall 2 dropped, and it changed our world.
Now don’t get me wrong Titanfall 2 was a game changer, it improved on everything that Titanfall 1 lacked, many of our brothers and sisters In arms joined the new game, I don’t blame them. But our player base shrank dramatically, there couldn’t have been more than 40 of us.
But as the years dragged on we shrank and shrank I hopped on the other day and I was the only pilot online in the world. I was alone. The best, but at what cost? The servers are empty and I stay alone in multi"player” matches. What’s the point of playing an amazing game without anyone to challenge you?
And thus I have resolved to hop on every day for at least an hour and if anyone is on, I could teach then what I know so I could pass the mantle as the last, to another.
Since then I have downloaded the second game and I now main as a Ronin as a titan and a spitfire grappler as my pilot I am one of the better players online though not the best by far. New horizons await new experiences to be had, friends to be made.
