Sure, we say thanks after a friend passes us a glass of milk or after someone picks up some loose change from the ground that we dropped behind us. We say thanks too much right! In fact, I hear my friends telling each other that all the time.
You don’t have to thank him for that…
But are we saying thank you to the right people? When was the last time you said thanks to that person who helped you land that job two years ago or the person who let you know about the local startup incubator that kicked your venture off the ground.
It’s strange — I’ll be the first to say I don’t do it enough, and it almost feels like something out of the norm… something risque!
An out of the blue email or phone call? No, I can’t do that.
How will they react? That’s weird. What do I do??! Help!
It may just be a small thank you — from me to you — but it is a treasure to the person on the receiving end.
So, break the norm and start saying thank you!
