I’m sorry you felt that way. I promise wholeheartedly that was not our intention. In fact, the point of the “ninja” question was to gather data to prove that most developers do not identify as such, and also to collect data on what terms developers _do_ identify with. We hoped these results would encourage employers to stop using these terms in job listings, plus demonstrate to developers like you that you’re right. When we first floated a draft of the questionnaire many within the company were confused as to the intent of this particular question, so you are far from alone.
