TJ, great article. I began using Apple computers in 1982 when I got a job at the local Apple dealer selling //e computers, centuries before it was cool. I used SoundJam before Apple bought the app and killed it, rolling the core tech into iTunes which, like you, I instantly adopted. And like you, I have long ago wished for an alternative to iTunes. I get more and more fed up with each “upgrade” finding iTunes changing the UI and putting troubling roadblocks in my way. Now that Apple has the ability to control my library and monkey with it’s contents, I am joining you. After 14 years, I am divorcing iTunes and seeking out alternatives for playing music and podcasts. Thank you for showing me the way. #FeelsGreat!
