Perspective
Now, most situations in life can be analysed or interpreted in umpteen number of ways because of one single word — ‘perspective’.
Come to think of it, what may sound as the only possible outcome in an instance, might find a completely different take if you allow it a different set of perspectives, or rather people who have a different perspective than yours.
In life many things change, and the most constant change is that of perspective. As we go out and explore the world, meet new people, engage in more activities, the one thing is bound to widen, is our perspective.
Time is another factor, which contributes to varied perspective. With time people’s perspectives change based on their prior experiences or observations.
Now what’s so important in this that you don’t already know? Well not much.
Travel is a tried and tested method to seek new horizons, meet new people, try different cuisines, see how things are done differently, and this seems to be the most popular route to widen ones perspective.
We also learn from the good and the bad experiences that we are a part of. Both change us for better or worse to mould us to what we turn out to be.
I have had several experiences or incidents, where the way i reacted changed things either for better or worse. Initially on most occasions, this would lead to worse due to the black or white way i saw the world, however perspective led to a change in this and the shades of grey came to light, and currently i guess i would be a little more objective when dealt with a situation.
Perspective makes us recollect and act differently and stand in another’s shoes or have a birds eye view of the whole situation before making a decision or an action.
This refines us and makes us better just like aged wine. Gets better with age :)
