It’s A Tall Order

A great joy filled my airways

My soul was elated at this opportunity

Just like a rat in a bottle of cheese

Or an ant in a pack of sugar.

You can do this, I whispered to myself

The first call till the last would be great

Naivety can’t remain, mediocrity would leave

Yes, that’s how it is meant to be.

As responsibilities responded to this progress

The outcomes kept asking questions of my beliefs

And assignments kept mounting

In stark contrast to my reality.

I need strength from somewhere

It’s too early to call it quits

The fact is I just can’t stop now

So what do I do to up the scale?

This Is A Tall Order.
