MakerSquare Week 2 Day 2

Well my ‘write everyday’ goal was about as short lived as the fixed hub on the used bicycle I bought down here. I’ve replaced it with a free hub which is making the commute much more enjoyable, but the jury is out as to whether or not it will improve the consistency of my writing!

We’ve survived the first week (and weekend) and the juices are flowing. Data structures, time complexities and code structure styles (pseudo-classical what?) are on a rinse, wash, repeat cycle in our checkpoints (regular quiz of sorts). We managed to get through another paired programming sprint as well. This time the focus was on a code refactor, subclasses and inheritance. It was also a good opportunity to not only write code and resolve pre written tests, but also get some visual confirmation that our code is working. The basic premise was to create a gif dance party and it was fun! The cohort is gelling a bit more and we’re also finding a bit of a rhythm.

Time for bed.
