Very analytical. Very logical. Will howeverassert that Nigerians do not need to depend on imported foodstuff like rice, chicken, vegetable oil, fresh tomatoes, etc; and even some frivolous items like “tokumbo” sandals/underwear! These definitely can be made locally. The dollar bill for these items will not only be able to fund infrastructural facilities that support local entrepreneurship, its elimination will will greatly reduce demand for the dollar. There has to be a short term framework for dollar demand reduction! Meanwhile why cann’t all Forex transactions pass through the official banking system, at least for 12 months?
