Erling Haaland has been taking over the internet so far this week, so what’s the latest news being reported?

The Borussia Dortmund striker has scored 80 goals in 79 appearances for the club, but what’s been the latest from clubs hoping to capture the Norwegian International’s signature?

The first reports of Erling Haaland were being linked to a potential transfer to Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona. Since this was revealed, Barcelona Club President, Joan Laporta, confirmed that the club will not sign Erling Haaland in the summer as it would be ‘too much of a risk’ because of their ‘recent financial problems’. It was then revealed that Manchester City had made ‘the best offer’ for Erling. According to reports, Real Madrid confirmed that they would not and would never match the deal proposed by The Blues.

Sources from Germany had later confirmed the rumours that Manchester City made an offer for the Norwegian striker. The deal was said to be worth £31m-per-season and £500,000-per-week. This would make Erling Haaland the highest paid player in England. Manchester City’s number one priority is to secure a deal for Haaland.

It has later been revealed that Erling Haaland does not care about the amount of money he would earn at his new club, he cares about the project and the manager, it’s his decision to choose a club. The striker always focuses on the project, the same when he chose to play for RB Salzburg over Juventus and then later on, Borussia Dortmund over Manchester United. He wants the best for his career, a place where he will win trophies and become a club ‘legend’.

Alf-Inge Haaland also had a influential choice on his sons decision. He was convincing him to follow his footsteps and play for The Cityzens, and it could have an impact on where he decides to play.

German reporters believe a transfer from Dortmund to Manchester City for Erling Haaland is ‘imminent’, and his future will he decided in a matter of weeks.

It’s very close to a done deal.
