What is $HON?
It’s about family, utility, and of course honor that strengthens the warrior code.
In summary, $HON is an ERC-20 token that sits at the core of everything within the Samurai Doge ecosystem, giving the first generation Samurai Doge the ability to yield 10 $HON per day.
It will be used as a base for:
- Claiming: You can claim your 3D Samurai Doge voxels if you own a pair of Samurai Doges.
- Breeding: You can breed and build an army if you own a pair of Generation One Samurai Doges.
- Battling: You can enter different tournaments and battle for glory when the game is launched.
- Trading: You can exchange $HON for merchandise and in-game access.
Before we launch $HON, here are a few things you should know:
- We will allocate 300 $HON to all those who minted from 0–5399.
- The allocated $HON will be enough for the first 0–5399 minters to claim their 3D voxel Samurai Doges.
- We will also include staking as a way to preserve the floor.
- However, staking is entirely optional — the first 0–5399 minters are NOT required to stake in order to claim their 3D voxel Samurai Doges.
So why introduce staking?
- Staking is required to help preserve the floor and to encourage holding to earn.
- Staking is useful to balance the tokenomics, especially when it comes to controlling the breeding of next gen Samurai Doges.
- Staking ensures that $HON is earned with true commitment. It is also done in such a way to preserve the value of $HON in the future.
