Medea’s Postpartum Obsession

First of all, it’s hard for me to seriously consider anything a misogynistic Greek playwright says about the female experience. That’s like asking Mullah Omar what he thinks about lactation.

Secondly, this:

One professor, a feminist and a friend, told me that female scholars should have children either in graduate school or after they get tenure.”

Needs to be amended to: female scholars in the United States. The world’s a big place, and it’s easy to forget what an aberration America is.
