How to clean step by step

1: Take out your tools

Some Craftsman tools are small and can easily escape from our hands. Therefore, it takes time and effort for you to pick them out.
First, you open each drawer. Then, empty its contents. To avoid missing any tools or cluttering them up, it is best to tackle each drawer in turn (from top to bottom, and vice versa). For tiny objects (such as bolts or screws) or some stuck objects, you can remove them after disassembling the drawer.

2: Disassemble the drawer

After blanking the drawer, pull it out slowly until it is fully emerged. Depending on the style of the chest, you can use levers or pull tabs to lock the drawer in the side rails. If it comes with levers, pull them up or down. If it uses tabs, press them on each side with your fingers.
The cabinets and drawers are now essentially separate for you to clean.

3: Clean the exterior

You should wipe the outside of each drawer with a soft, clean cloth. For best results, wipe from back to front. This will prevent dust from sticking to the drawers again. Do this twice a month to keep your property dust-free.

4: Clean the interior

Debris and dust generated by tools or just by the activities you open and close can seep into the inside of the drawer. To get rid of this stubborn nuisance, you should use canned air or an air compressor to blow the dirt away.
The same technique applies to drawer slides. Cleaning them regularly will help them run smoothly.

5: Assemble the drawers

Once your drawers are clean, it’s time to install them back into the chest. Don’t forget to do it one piece at a time so you don’t mess up. Also, remember not to keep them snug against the joints. If you have any problems, don’t be in a hurry to pull them back up.

6: Repack the tools

For maximum convenience, keep like tools and like tools together. How you want to categorize them depends on your preferences and the tools you have available.
In addition to placing tools according to their type and function, you can also sort them by popularity. Simply place the most commonly used tools in front and the lesser used tools in the back.
