Kindness; The Pinnacle of Excellence!
One of the most righteous and knowledge man in the universe, who has changed my perspective of life, Hazrat Imam Ali (R.A), the door to the kingdom of knowledge was one of the kindest souls on earth. He said, “Three things bring about love; good temperament, kindness and humbleness”.

After reading about the lives of the paragon of humanity, Hazrat Muhammad (s.a.w), I promised myself to add value to the lives of other people every day. I might do little things to help people, but I continue doing it. The purpose of writing all these things here is not to brag, but to share because it might inspire another heart to be kind in this mostly cruel world.

Every day when I wake up, I thank Allah, the divine providence that I am alive and have another chance, and I tell myself to go live the day as it is my last day here. Now this thought process has helped me in my tough days; the days when I think I might not survive, but then I eventually do, and I believe that is because I water the plant of kindness there.

So, the kind acts that I did today include:
My supervisor is travelling to Indonesia for his conference. So, I gave presented him a card with wishes for a safe journey and successful presentation. He was obviously not expecting it. He was overwhelmed.
Counseling is something I do on a daily basis and that too in an unlimited amount. So, the same happened today as well. Two of my students and one of my friends reached out to me, and I am so glad that I was able to give them hope and the energy they needed. It feels great to make a difference like that in people’s lives.
I contributed my savings to a school that one of acquaintances is running for orphans and I visited the school to spend some time with them.
I cooked fish for the dinner, and shared it with the workers who cook the meals in hostel mess. They were so happy and thankful that somebody thought about them.
I proofread my roommate’s thesis and gave her feedback. Later, we went shopping as she needed my advice for the make-up shopping.
I called my fellow and asked about her mother’s health, offering help in any way I could and helped her with her project.
I reached out to the CSR I registered a complaint with, regarding an online ordered. He walked an extra mile to compensate for my money, and I called him to thank him. Seemingly, he wasn’t expecting it and so he was very grateful.
