My Fashion views about the shows featured on October 16, 2021 that I have attended:

As for the content of this year’s Fashion Shows on October 16, 2021, I have noticed that the bright solid colors popped and were more dominant, such as red, yellow, green, and shades of Blue. More softer colors were also important such as lilac, peach and white, especially for the bridal dresses. The designers seemed to have been inspired by nature, as there were many amazing head pieces created from bird’s feathers and hawks, in addition to animal horns. Fabrics were mainly embroidered such as embellished chiffons, shinny taffetas, silky polyesters , and shimmering sequenced polyester blends.

Cuts were more fitted as boostiers were very dominant. Huge coverups with hoodies, and many layers, pleats, and ruffles took over the runway shows with few jackets with beads and embellishments. The wedding dresses had some traditional forms with long ruffled tails, however, some were totally unconventional, and were very futuristic with head pieces and beaded chiffon’s overlay. Definitely a new look that we are not used to seeing in bridal wear.

Over all the shows were impressive, with creative and futuristic approaches using textiles that we are familiar with in a very innovative way that made the textiles look revived and futuristic. High boots were worn with evening dresses to finish the look, and head-pieces were a focal point and made a statement “Nothing is Impossible”.

Many Fashion icons attended the show including the young entrepreneur Zack Hakim, the Founder and CEO of tapnmedia.co
