Problem Solving w.r.t Fund-raising for Edhi foundation
We can’t thank enough for the efforts Edhi Sb. had put in the service of humanity. To me, he was one of the best things ever happened to Pakistan as well as to this world, in which concept of CARE is decreasing day by day.
Starting with the fund raising activity. Some of the members from our circle had a meeting in the Allama Iqbal Medical College to discuss all the ideas we had and to just start the project.
- Own the problem and understanding: We owned that there are a lot of problems we all were facing to carry out this initiative either these were due to job or university timings. So, we discussed all the possibilities as well as the problems in the Whatssapp group time to time as well as in the in-person sessions.
- Multiple Solutions and help : We came across with multiple solutions. Took suggestions and ideas from friends outside Amal. Two of the members Asif and Fahad went Urdu Bazar to have an estimate for the first idea we had but that was costly. So we brainstormed some other ideas with each other to find as much accessible ideas as possible. After getting several ideas, we voted for the best one, which was to go to Jinnah Bagh for fund-raising. I prepared the money box with me pic attatched below:

- Positive Attitude and relation with gratitude : Despite of the problems, we all remained positive and energetic.
As Dawood and Rafay were in their hometowns, so they collected sums from their family and friends out there while Fahad and Asif ordered Edhi Sb. shirts with Amal Academy logo on it to be printed. Similiarly, Me and Maham collected funds from college/university and workplace respectively. For this we all had equal contributions in the effectiveness of the task. We all did what we could rather than sitting idle and doing nothing. Regardless of the response (positive or negative) we always payed gratitude to the other people for their time with us.
- First Idea, Feedback and Repeat : Fortunately, it was a good start and a wonderful experience as a team. Although, we’ve collected about 5000 rupees from our visit to Bagh-e-Jinnah ,we are looking forward to repeat this idea. Efforts are underwayand we are looking forward to discuss this in upcoming Amal session with the rest team mates in order to work on the other ideas as well :)
