It was the summer of 1999. I had just graduated and was all set to join my new job. I was on cloud nine. But, unbeknownst to me things were about to change for me.
It all started with a nagging pain in my leg, specifically behind my knee.
I had Synovial Sarcoma in my leg — I am currently in remission. I don’t know if I should use the present tense and say have instead of had. But, as of today, I don’t have a cancer diagnosis, so, I am leaving it at had — why not?
