Finals are over! Sipping some coffee to keep myself awake for tonight’s party, I try to stop thinking about how I did for my finals and what my GPA will end up being.

Oh well, no harm in calculating it just one more time. I already knew what my highest possible GPA would be assuming everything went well. I had played out every scenario but just for the sake of satisfaction…out comes the calculator…A-, B+, A- if I did well on the project, B+ assuming I just passed my final…3.54. Ah, my GPA isn’t as bad as I thought.

In a silent moment of reflection, the whole semester plays back in front of me. I know I could’ve easily gotten an A for my project class if I had put in just *a little bit* more effort. Oh well, my project mates saved me — I just hope they will be my project mates again next semester.

Every end of the semester, I go through the same thought process. I’ve realized, that as my schooling years have passed, I’ve gotten lesser and lesser feedback from my teachers. In college, it doesn’t even make any more sense — I’d be lucky if the professor even knew my name let alone give me some feedback. The report card back in my pre-college days were wonderful. I’d look back at them every now and then to see if I had grown over the semesters. Occasionally, I’d just be interested in the praises. “Sanchit is a sociable kid. He gets along well with his peers in class. He doesn’t hesitate to ask questions. He can do better though if he pays more attention in his english classes.”

As we enter college, the our peers are the best people who can give us feedback. They possibly analyze others’ actions more than theirs. During every project though, I get these Google Docs Forms in which I’m forced to evaluate my teammates. I know my teammates are evaluating me and I’m dying to know what they wrote.

Why then don’t we have a central place where all my feedback forms are stored. Like a Github for feedback. Every project — be it a CS class, business class, a project I worked on during my internship or a 3 month managerial review in the industry — every project’s feedback should be anonymously stored on this platform.
