How I cleared AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CCP) in 1 month
During my last co-op term around June 2022, I got introduced to cloud — AWS in particular. A rep from AWS hosted a webinar in the company about AWS resources, and it blew my mind.
I had little knowledge about cloud but that webinar made me curious about cloud. I started to watch more videos about AWS and finally decided to get my CCP certification.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is the entry-level cert from AWS that tests your fundamental knowledge of AWS. Although it doesn’t have any hands-on questions but I’ll recommend to try AWS and use some free services, click around and get yourself familiar.
Here’s how I cleared my CCP in 1 month:
> My only study material was FreeCodeCamp’s YouTube video. It covers everything you need to learn for CCP. I watched it at 1.5x speed and then rewatched it at 2x speed to revise everything.
> I used the mock tests from Udemy. I have also heard good things about Tutorial Dojo’s papers so will recommend them too.
> Some playing around the AWS console — Don’t stick to just the theory, create your AWS account and try some free services out. This will make the learning better.
Track your progress using the scores from mock tests. If you consistently get more than 80%, book your exam and you should be fine.
