In recent FTC arguments, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer decreed that, “Xbox has lost the console wars, and its rivals are positioned to continue to dominate, including by leveraging exclusive content”.

While looking at the number of actual console sales, there is no lie, but the unspoken victories that will drive the success of Xbox going forward is the amount of value Microsoft actually brings for gamers. Whether you have an Xbox, PC, capable tablet or phone. You will have the ability to play hundreds of excellent titles regardless of how you find your self gaming with access to Xbox Game Pass.

-Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation+?

A key factor for any gamer when considering purchasing a new console, are the services outside of the hardware its self, because let’s face it, through history, Xbox and PlayStation have been close to each other in regard to the consoles abilities to perform the same tasks.

While PlayStation has some heavy-hitting exclusive titles that hold massive weight, & we all love, such as the God of War franchise, Ghost of Tsushima, and The Last of Us part 1 & 2, you’re most likely going to need to buy these titles if you want to play them anytime soon after release. Sony still has no plans of offering exclusives as day ones on their subscription service. As a gamer my self, I’m often disappointed in the selection of games available with even the highest tier of PlayStation+. In the other hand, its no secret that Microsoft isn’t gun shy when it comes to releasing huge and anticipated AAA titles to Game Pass on release day, such as the new Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Atomic Heart, Redfall, High On Life, Halo Infinite, and the upcoming, potentially most anticipated game of the decade, Starfield.

-Play together.

The great things coming from Xbox are being made possible by Microsoft’s willingness to collaborate with other companies; as well as, the acquisitions and mergers of multiple heavy hitter developers in recent history.

Sony wants gamers to play PlayStation. Microsoft wants gamers to play games! Xbox has announced both a 10 year partnership with Nvidia to offer Xbox PC games on their platform, and a 10 year partnership with Nintendo to bring the newest Call of Duty titles to Nintendo consoles for the foreseeable future following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, of which both companies board of directors have agreed upon. After countless challenges and obstacles to overcome, the deal is expected later in 2023 after an international government review.

-Play anywhere/cloud gaming and seamless co existence with other devices.

While you can remote play with your PlayStation on Computers, laptops, tablets and separate companion devices (PS Vita, and upcoming PS Portal), which is convenient on the go, its still only remotely accessing your console, so if your PlayStation isn’t connected to power or internet, then you’re out of luck. Xbox Cloud Gaming (BETA) gives you access to hundreds of your favorite games regardless of where you are! Yes you can still use other devices like an iPhone or iPad to remote play your console on the go still, and best of all, if your console isn’t connected, no worries. Seamlessly pick up where you left off on your Xbox with the Xbox app on your PC and never have to worry about multiple saves and what you did in what play through. Whether you’re on the go and streaming on your tablet, in your home office for a session on your PC or laptop, or in the comfort of your living room or bedroom, your games are at your fingertips the moment you are ready for them.

-Stocks are soaring. The future looks bright!

Stocks are soaring, and its no surprise with the impressive value that Microsoft is offering fans. With a background in Business & Sales, to me it’s a no-brainer that, when you take care of the customer, your business thrives. Xbox is giving the gamer what the gamer wants, when and where they want it. Making powerful moves such as giving us the opportunity to play current Call of Duty titles on the Nintendo Switch. Giving the gamer what they want by releasing heavily anticipated games on day one, for those who enjoy the various benefits of having Xbox Game Pass. Giving the gamer what they want by having something so convenient in place that allows you to pick up where you left off in another room, or another location in the world entirely, on a different device, and still be where you left off, every single time.
