Puran puri is mostly made during festivals

This dish is made from Tuvar dal and sugar which a touch of kesar

While cooking Puran its aroma makes us tempting to eat it

You will find a different way of rolling Puran puri wherein you get more bite of Puran then the flour

Text recipe

Ingredients
Tuvar dal 1/2 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup
Ghee 3 tablespoon use as required
Elaichi powder 1/2 teaspoon
Kesar pinch
Nutmeg powder 1/2 teaspoon
For chapati
Wheat flour 3/4 cup
1 tablespoon oil
Tip to make perfect one
Method
Soak tuvar dal in water for 5 to 7 minutes
Wash dal ,add water ( only that much which cooks dal
Pressure cook on medium flame for 4 to 5 whistles
After the cooker cools down
Add dal in a non stick pan,add sugar to it
Go on stirring continuously till all water evaporates
Tip: when immerse a spoon it will stand
Add elaichi powder, kesar , nutmeg powder and 1 teaspoon of ghee
Let it cool down completely.
In a mixing bowl add wheat flour and 1 teaspoon oil, mix well and make dough adding water,dough like chapatti
Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes
Make portions of wheat dough as well as puran
Take one portion of wheat dough, roll out oblong chapati as shown in video
Place one portion of puran as shown in video
Cover the remaining part, stamp with katori
Level it before rolling
Make a chapati with soft hands ( bit thick)
Roast it on hot tawa till both sides turn golden brown.
Spread ghee before serving (optional)
Serve hot
