Do something fun
For my “do something fun,” my friend Danna and I decided to play in the rain — something I hadn’t done since I was ten years old AND do an artsy photoshoot. Playing in the rain was the most spontaneous thing I could have done. I was already in pajamas and in bed when Danna called me and asked me if I wanted to play in the storm on Wednesday. I was obviously hesitant at first, considering that I was already ready to sleep. I gave in and met Danna at the lobby of our apartment building. We ended up going all the way to the Stone Arch Bridge, and I’ve never seen it so empty (understandable since it was storming out). Danna and I ended up doing a photoshoot too that included us getting very wet, but it was the most fun I’ve had in quite a while.

Diet: When I was freshman in college, I didn’t realize how understanding how and what you eat affects both your physical and mental health. This theme is worth pursuing because many young adults such as myself do not value the importance of diet, and it would be interesting to learn about the effects of different foods.
Depression and Anxiety: Mental health I hold something dear because up to this day, not many people have a good understanding why it’s just as important as physical health. Just because mental health can’t be seen like physical health doesn’t mean it does not exist or can cause health problems.
Stress: Everyone in college is stressed out, and many do not know how to handle it (such as myself). Eliminating stress seems to be impossible, but learning to deal with it is possible. Dealing with stress is not something I have mastered, and exploring this theme and studying it would be helpful now and the future.
