The Electrical Contractors Association of San Diego (ECASD) recently provided a free safety webinar for owners of homes built more than 20 years ago. The ECASD says there are special safety concerns for this group of homeowners as electrical issues such as wear and tear occur after 15 or 20 years for homes that are well-maintained electrical-speaking. For those that are ill-maintained, the issues can surface a lot earlier.
ECASD President Brad Harper says they have decided to hold a webinar for owners of an older home to keep them safe from the dangers of outdated electrical systems. “ECASD advocates for consumer safety and owners of older homes are one of those we want to keep safe because their homes present electrical safety hazards that are not present in newly constructed properties,” Harper explains. …
