As a millennial in the corporate business world, obtaining the necessary experience and path to my career has been difficult. Tasks within the wealth management sector can be very rushed and stressing, however, coworkers and my boss always had a smile on their faces and helped others understand processes. Meetings are scheduled to make sure all members of the team are on the same page and any ambiguity is cleared and questions are answered.

In my past experience working for other employers, the work environment was strict and not easy-going. However, within RBC employees are given the opportunity to speak their minds and state their opinions. Furthermore, the boss and head of the team celebrates and considers the various special occasions of his or her team. Business lunch meetings and dinners frequently occurred with entertaining conversations and discussions. All birthdays were celebrated, and some bosses even made the effort to celebrate baby showers and other special occasions.

A number of employee-led social committees exist across the bank. Many employees become involved in certain work team sports such as volleyball, basketball, and soccer, organized by the company.
