What I learnt today | Dauntless

For a month now, I’ve learnt a lot about the Bible. Interpreting, understanding and the value of the word.

I’ll just highlight a couple of things I have learnt:

  • The plan of the enemy is to keep you ignorant of the word of God. His struggle is against our growth in Christ. Our spiritual growth is strengthened by our understanding of the word.
  • As believers, we truly need to understand the word and be able to interpret it correctly and this would be aided by a good bible teacher. It is also very important to be able to identify who a good teacher is. 1 Timothy 3:2(…he must be able to teach). A good teacher teaches accurately.
  • Beyond finding an accurate teacher of the word. We need to learn to follow through as believers.

How to identify a good church:

  • Their understanding of the gospel is so important. A pastor that strengthens your assurance of salvation. 1 Corinthians 6:11. Ephesians 2:10.
  • Their theology about money. We give as a response to His blessing, not as a requirement for his blessing.
  • Charismatic ministry, Join a local assembly that encourages you to function in the things of the spirit. Mark 16:17
  • A mission minded Church. A church that encourages people to reach out to the lost. Encourages people to evangelize.

Most importantly, as a new believer or old believer your personal relationship with God is so important.

Know your God.

Read your bible yourself.

If you don’t understand get help. (I will probably write on interpreting the bible when I gain better understanding)

Thank you for getting to this point.
