This made my morning! I’ve been a Second Life resident since 2004 (ancient in SL terms) and still have my Botanical Gardens sim on the grid. It’s a little piece of interactive art that I can’t bear to part with.

SL is indeed cumbersome to use for a newbie, onboarding has always been a challenge and just dealing with people is an even bigger challenge. Onboarding and UI are solvable, getting people who simply are not very nice to be nice is a bigger issue that even Facebook with real identities is having issues with.
