My very first sketchnote

The first task of the pre-work of IRONHACK UI/UX Bootcamp, I need to do a sketchnote of a TED talk by Margaret Gould Stewart, How Giant Websites Design For You.

To be very honest with you guys, I have no background whatsoever in art or design. Yes, I do some random drawings and sketching from time to time in life, but nothing serious (such as drawing on the napkins etc…). In the beginning, I had no idea how to start and therefore I spent some time reading the instructions and found more sketchnotes on internet to get some inspirations. Slowly, I had some layout, ideas in my mind. I watched the video for 3 times and I did my sketchnote for 3 times too. My 1st sketchnote was awful, but I remember that “practice makes perfect”, so I did it again. Second time…hmm…okay, then I did my third time. Because I had watched it for three times, I had pretty good idea what the video was talking about. At the same time, I was also more familiar with the process and felt more comfortable just drawing whatever I thought in my mind (I used to write many sentences). So here is my first sketchnote baby.

Still nothing perfect, but I am very proud of my progress. I surprisingly notice myself that I am starting to take note in the visual way in several occasions. Ah, and the most importantly, I enjoy a lot in the whole process.
