Have You Ever Been Broken? “Shining Scars”

We had the best speaker here today who spoke about the journey that led her to start her business, Miss Fit Boss.

Liz Hronek is a personal trainer and body empowerment coach located in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I stumbled across Liz when I was meeting with a prospect a few months ago. After hearing a little about my weight loss journey, he insisted we connect.. and I’m so glad he did.

Liz has a depth few can claim and she has turned her struggles into an amazing business helping others get healthy and teaching them to love themselves! She held my attention for the entire seminar! (and, yes, that’s amazing…)

“I was about 300 pounds and was so disconnected with my body I had a baby and didn’t even know it until the day I went into labor… I was living out of my car at the time.” ~Elizabeth Hronek

I absolutely love meeting people like Liz. I think, partly because I see a little of myself in her (the once broken part)…and I’m just so incredibly proud of her! She is extremely humble and projects such positive energy, she’s a joy to be around. Just meeting her made me WANT to work with her!

We have all had difficulties in our lives, and some of us end up finding ourselves at a crossroads when we have reached our limit. You know…that “line in the sand” moment that makes us face ourselves in a way we never expected?

For Liz, it was knowing that she was suddenly embarking on raising a little girl..

When I was growing up I was bullied. I just had the worst self-esteem…I hated myself. And to know that mindset, and to know I had a daughter…I was like “I’ve got to get it together…something’s got to change..and so, I lost 150 pounds”

{Um…wow….did she just say what I thought she just said??}

Apparently so, but she didn’t stop there..

“Once I lost the weight…I was like.. I’ve got to find another goal so I don’t go backwards…so I decided I was going to compete in figure competitions. I did my first competition in 2010 and I’ve done 5 since then. Now I judge all of the North Carolina competitions. I’m certified in personal training and nutritional therapy and I’m on a mission to empower millions of people to improve their health and their happiness.”
“Miss Fit BOSS addresses the mindset. It’s easy to access fitness plans, it’s easy to access nutrition, but if you don’t have that third aspect, which is self-care/self-love, it won’t last.” ~ Liz Hronek

We’ve all been broken at some point in our lives, but it’s how we react to our brokenness that can make or break us.

If we look deep within ourselves, being broken can actually strengthen us and provide us with the faith, tools and motivation we need once we have finally reached our “ENOUGH” moment. Applying these lessons strategically can completely change our lives, and the lives of the people we encounter along our journey.

From what I’ve seen, that is exactly what Liz Hronek has done with her life. Her journey is already inspiring thousands of people and I know it will continue to inspire others (like myself) as she grows her business!

Her love for her daughter will benefit millions in ways her little one will probably never understand. [Isn’t life funny that way?]

I’m so proud of Liz! She absolutely inspires me and everyone I know that has crossed paths with her!
