How to set up Chromecast 2 Google Wi Fi /HDMI

Chromecast is a Google device capable of converting your traditional TV into a Smart TV for about 30 euros. You can enjoy a complete multimedia system controlled from your smartphone or tablet in a very simple way.

In this tutorial for Chromecast we show you how to do it:

1: What is Chromecast?
Chromecast has become a must-have for anyone who wants to get the most out of the Android operating system.

This is one of the most successful Google devices and a turning point in the multimedia consumption of being at home.

Not only is it a multi-purpose device, but it also turns our classic and conventional television into a real Smart TV at a laughing price.

All you need is an HDMI slot on your TV and a Wi-Fi connection to enjoy all your content from the Chrome browser and Android on your TV screen.

Chromecast is a small dongle that connects to HDMI and the Wi-Fi network and starts an operating system based on Chrome OS.

Therefore, we can send contents that are on the Internet or local from our smartphone, tablet or PC.

It makes use of Wi-Fi to communicate between devices so that when we send our content to the TV our terminal is free for other functions.

We have believed so much in the utility of this curious gadget that we wanted to make a detailed tutorial for Chromecast to get the most out of this small but powerful device.

2: Connect Chromecast to power and HDMI TV
Chromecast installation is extremely simple.

Also, luckily, once installed, you won’t have to do it again unless you transport it, restore it to the factory or change your router settings.

The first thing we need to do is to connect our Chromecast to the HDMI slot on the TV and connect it to either a power outlet or some USB input on the TV.

This last connection will give the power to our gadget, since it has no autonomy of its own.

3: Connect Chromecast to power and HDMI TV
Once connected, the next step in this tutorial for Chromecast is to go from our TV set to the HDMI corresponding to the slot where we have connected it.

Chromecast will light up the moment we tune in and start a small load animation.

4: Download the official Chromecast app from Play Store

To do this we will go to Play Store to download the application, of course, for free.

Once downloaded, when you enter it will automatically search for the Chromecast devices connected to your Wi-Fi network.

We choose the one that corresponds to the name number that appears in the lower left corner of our television and press “configure”.

In that way, Chromecast will act as a network point and the app we are surfing on will detect that we have connected it correctly and a code will appear on our TV in the lower right corner.

This code should also appear in the app, which will indicate that the connection between both devices and the network we are connected to is being satisfactory and that you are following this tutorial for Chromecast well.

He’ll ask us if we see the right code.

If so, press “Code appears” and continue.

Now is the time to give our Chromecast a name. We can choose the one we want without any problems.
