Acting like a small subset of users is “the community” — 2x agreement was a strange backroom deal that was more of an acceptance that fighting for control was strangling the project. Let go of their grasp for just a minute to get security and efficiency upgrades and go back to trying to strangle. The community are speaking with logic in some places, being objective. In other places it is pure subjective dishonest rhetoric. Turing it into politics and propaganda you get your opinion devalued when some people destroy their reputation while others do listen to users. If the miners had any actual problem mining they would be heard. In fact they are heard and given free software development and they stab the real community — the open source community in the back.
