‘They’ — The Society

‘They’ call me crazy

for laughing out loud

for dancing in the crowd

for wearing rugged jeans

Crazy for being a teen.

‘They’ call me crazy

for being an atheist

for lighting up the trees

for laughing alone

while chatting on the phone.

‘They’ call me crazy

for falling in love

and I don’t care

for I am not a social robot

With a smile to put up.

I like to live by my rules

‘they’ for me are fools.

‘They’ are a reflection

Of demons unleashed.

To go by ‘them’ is to

be one of ‘them’.

‘They’ are the people

whom I don’t accept

For I am ‘me’

the BEST I can get.
