Going beyond motivation and good intentions

I’ve been writing all my life. Even though I have recently transitioned to typing out my thoughts, experiences, and stories (what can I say, I’m an old soul) I noticed a destructive pattern that stems from childhood. I had a habit of never completing my articles or stories. At first, I thought it was due to the lack of technological resources which was my choice because let’s be honest, writing long essays or stories by your hand is not the sweetest idea.

Later, I moved to typing out articles, essays, and stories, which made life significantly easier but I still wasn’t completing most of the things I was writing. Moreover, my writing felt vague, weak, and lacked depth. Reading back my own stories made me cringe. …
