Build a Soundboard App With MIT App Inventor

In this session, we built a soundboard app with MIT App Inventor. A soundboard is an interactive image gallery that plays multimedia files. We built an app that plays recordings of Dr. Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech and an interview by Malcolm X. In the process, we learned HOW TO:

• Apply the event-driven pattern in an Android app
• Design the Graphical User Interface (GUI) with Layouts, and
• Integrate sensors in an app to craft a rich User Experience (UX).

Participants will apply this knowledge to build their own soundboard apps to inspire, uplift and educate!
