David you right on that folks are concerned about their loss of jobs due to offshoring, and what happened in during subprime catastrophe. Agree Trump responded to the job loss and low salary concerns. Agree that Democrats and Hillary did not. But neither did the Republicans. Yes Republics supported I therecent tax cuts which will create a deficit of a couple of trillion dollars and a third of that will be covered by growth in the economy. However most (ie 2/3 rd) of the deficit will have to be supported by US population not the corporations; the corporations will flea the USA as soon as the deficit starts to impact the economy.

Second many Americans are concerned about immigrants and only Trump and Republics are responding to that and those Americans hate the Democrats because Democrats are not responding to the immigration concern.

But neither Trump nor Republics have any real plan to fix jobs except by trickle down from the rich which only works to a degree— the tax cut was for the rich (see how much real estate businesses are benefiting and how private partnerships are benefiting by paying a flat 28% tax even if they make millions). The lower and middle class will simply be left paying a huge debt due to the additional deficit and the only way to pay for that is to cut social security and medicare — again the lower and middle class will lose the biggest here. Further the trade war with China is already hurting the small businesses — while Trumph needs be hard on China, bullying China will not work.

So neither Trump, Republicans, or Democrats know how to solve the problem — they just want votes and want to cater to their rich friends and businesses which help fund them.
