Steve Jobs Movie (2015) Director Danny Boyle Planning Trainspotting Sequel

Talking to the media at Telluride Film Festival, Steve Jobs Movie (2015) director Danny Boyle announced that he planning to make the sequel of the 1996 hit movie Trainspotting. After the screening of Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet and Seth Rogen starrer Steve Jobs, Boyle told the media that:

“All the four main actors want to come back and do it. Now it is only a matter of getting all their schedules together which is complicated by two of them doing American TV series.”

The two actors mentioned by Boyle here are Jonny Lee Miller who played Sick Boy and Robert Carlyle who played Begbie in the 1996 movie adapted from the Irvine Welsh’s novel of the same name. Miller stars in Sherlock Holmes based Elementary while Carlyle is a regular in Once Upon A Time.

Steve Jobs Movie (2015) director also said that the script of the sequel is “terrific” and that all the members of the main cast are ready to do it. The script will be based on Welsh’s novel Porno which was also the sequel to Trainspotting, the novel.

However, right now Danny Boyle is busy with Steve Jobs as the movie was labelled as “work-in-progress”before the screening. This was because the director is still tweaking the movie a little bit before the final release. Steve Jobs Movie (2015) will see a worldwide release on October 23 after being released in Los Angeles and New York on October 9.
