New research shows that the mass of “high quality” entrepreneurship is in the south of San Francisco Bay.
The research identified new business registrants that appeared in California between 2001 and 2011. The research develop a model that looked at characteristics which are present in companies that end up having ‘meaningful growth outcome” within six years of foundation. The model will be able to ‘provide policy makers with the ability to track and assess their efforts to enhance entrepreneurial ecosystems in a new way’
