I need terrible female engineers
Amy Nguyen

I am a good programmer but mediocre engineer. I say that because I am a bit anti-social and kind of complain about the scrum meetings… all the time. But I’m no different from most of the males I know, and a bit better at programming.

I have felt like the biggest disadvantage for women in the field is that women are more likely tied to family life at home. I know some men who go home and spend all night looking up the newest technology or trying to figure out that piece of the puzzle while off the clock where a woman is more likely to be going home to take care of the home/kids/cook/etc. It is especially hard competing with the single men.
