Are you familiar with the DiSC communication styles?

Learning to adapt to different types of people is a key to successful relationships in the workplace. Everyone approaches their work slightly differently, depending on their risk appetite or their natural inclinations to connecting with people. Flexibility in how we approach these relationships is key to help build strong, trusting relationships.

Tools like the DiSC personality assessment are ways we can quickly rationalise different styles. It’s important to note with these tools that put our personalities in the boxes that this is NOT a definitive linear way to look at someone. The truth is…depending on our level of psychological safety in the environment, it may bring out different styles from within us.
