Extremely hot take: beer and fried food is probably the — dare we say — best date night food. Why You’ll Bloveit
Another local gem for the OTP crowd, Southbound on the surface looks like just about any other reclaimed warehouse turned into a restaurant & bar. On the inside, it’s also more or less what you’d expect: edison light bulbs, brass fixtures, chalk board for a beer list, tons of exposed brick, picnic style tables on the patio to contrast the more upscale dining setup indoors, and buffalo check linens. You get the aesthetic, you’ve seen it a gazillion times, but you’ve maybe never felt them all come together the way they do at Southbound. At Southbound, you don’t have to wonder where you fit in or what to wear, the earnest atmosphere brought forth by the staff makes you instantly comfortable at every seat in the house. If you’re a fan of craft beer, artisanal hotdogs, or just anything that’s fried to perfection — you’ll love this date night spot just about any day of the week.
