Like a vernier calipers with zero error, I have to adjust all my future plans by that one failure. Every time, I think of a new step in life, I think back to old bad karma I must repent. It is a constant cycle I must talk myself out of, a process that my friends with more elite educations scoff at. Which adds another variable to our initial equation-a sense of possibility. What I think is possible is crucial to what is actually possible.
Why do the big companies with the big products do it? Do they lack self-awareness? Do they have nothing of value to provide, and hide behind flowery marketing babble that’s as empty as their offering? Maybe, but I think this is unlikely. These are big companies, and they’re smart companies.
