Free College and Student Debt

Apparently Sue revised her blog after I published this (even though a correction isn’t noted on her blog) and she now says something different — whereas before she said that Free College didn’t address living costs (Forbes can confirm she said this, btw), now she says “Even if tuition were free at public colleges, many students would still borrow to fund their living expenses.” Perhaps. But that doesn’t mean they will have as much debt or that the students with low but problematic debt amounts now would still have debt.
