Hello everyone,

Even though it wasn’t long before my first post, I realized the joy I felt while writing and sharing what I know. That’s why I want to continue with the second post on the list which will include the things I find helpful in my business life. If you haven’t read and are responsible for tests in the software industry, I recommend you to read the first post too.

Today I would like to share another tool that I used during Android and IOS system tests. This tool is “AirDroid”. But why do I need such a tool when testing systems?

AirDroid Cast

In the simplest definition, “AirDroid” is a screen mirroring tool. This tool allows you to easily share the screen of your Android or IOS device on your laptop. It can even allow you to share the screen from one laptop to another.

My biggest reason for using this tool is to effortlessly connect screen recordings to user stories from “Test & Feedback”, which I explained in my first post. Even if you don’t use the “Test & Feedback” extension, screen recording via a laptop is more comfortable to add to places like Azure DevOps.

You can download the AirDroid application from App Store or Google Play Store.

After installing the application on the device you will test, you also need to install it on the laptop you want to mirror. You can access the application for your laptop from the link. After downloading the application to both devices, you can easily begin screen mirroring by scanning the QR code in the laptop application through your test device.

Remember, the developer needs to see where you press on the test device while testing, so adjusts the test device accordingly :)
