Just Do It — Reasons to Study Abroad in College

College just isn’t the same if you spend it in one country. It’s a good idea to be well-rounded in academics and extra curricular activities, but studying abroad is an entirely different experience.

There are numerous reasons to study abroad, but they can all be boiled down to five different reasons — immersion, self-development, résumé building, lifelong friends and language fluency. It doesn’t matter if it’s a four-week program or a fourteen-week program, the point is your doing something different than the regular college experience of student clubs, bars and football games.
