We’re ready to launch.
Roofgraf: an origin story.
Well, it’s time. Time to introduce a project we’ve been working on for years. One we hope will be as powerful and genuinely helpful for roof installers as Solargraf has been for solar companies.
No pressure.
We’ve called it Roofgraf, and we’re just about ready to kick-off our closed beta stage. Curious?
Get started with 10 days of free, unlimited projects, quotes and aerial imagery.
Ok, but what exactly is Roofgraf?
Roofgraf is an innovative piece of software built to help roofers and contractors boost revenue and save time. Here’s how.
- By helping them draw and measure a roof within minutes.
- By dramatically lowering the time spent on proposals.
- By applying customizable templates in order to auto-populate the prices and specs of your preferred products, manufacturers and add-ons.
Why do we think we’ll be able to pull this off?
In short: because we’ve done it before.
To answer that question, it’s worth travelling back a few years to Sofdesk’s earliest days. At the time, our founder Lennie Moreno was bootstrapping a successful solar installation company in Ottawa, Canada. Frustrated at having to use a whole series of outdated and cumbersome tools to track and manage his business, Lennie decided software was the solution — and he’d be the one to build it. So in 2013, he made the move back to Montreal alongside CTO Maxime Fafard and Director of Customer Success Emily Hodgkinson, and voilà — Sofdesk was born.
At first, our “My Solar Installer” solution focused primarily on strategically identifying, vetting and selling solar leads. That revenue allowed for heavy re-investment in the development of what would become our flagship product in 2016: Solargraf.
Today, Solargraf is one of the most routinely used solar software solutions in the industry.
We routinely help over 4500 solar experts save time, money and energy through a centralized software solution that, amongst other things, does the following.
- Draws and maps solar systems within minutes using only an address.
- Integrates the highest quality imagery in the industry through partnerships with Nearmap and Eagleview.
- Helps installers identify, contact, track and manage solar leads from beginning to end.
- Creates detailed, customizable and professional quotes within minutes.
- Allows installers and potential customers to view, negotiate, edit and update a quote in real-time.
- Helps scattered teams communicate and hit deadlines through an interactive, real-time project timeline and central notification dashboard.
- Gives installers simpler access to a wider range of potential customers through over-the-phone quotes and lower on-site assessment costs.
So what can users expect from Roofgraf’s beta version?
In short: an intuitive platform equipped with some powerful tools that’s in need of a few final touches and constructive feedback. Also, three months of free software.
In exchange for 3 free months of post-launch Roofgraf access, we’ll be reaching out to beta users for structured feedback twice: on day 4 and 15.
With time, they’ll see features adapt and respond to their feedback and ideas. They’ll get to witness an essential step in the maturing process of a software solution, and actively help it cater to their needs and pain points. And of course, they’ll be part of our inner circle: the first to know about new features, hacks, events etc.
Are you a roofing professional or company? Want to help build something great? Want to save time and money in the process?
Then welcome on board.
