I wouldn’t say the description sets up low expectations, but I agree that it could have been worded a bit better. I also agree with her points. I think she isn’t saying that the remake is destined to fail because of the plot or anything or at all, but by that it is simply a cash-grab/pandering move by the companies. I loved Oceans 11/13 but this new Oceans movie doesn’t interest me right now because it feels lifeless, as the author described. If the trailer proves that the plot/characters have the same amount of life that the semi-original Oceans movies had then I’ll be intrigued.
