My Advice To The Freshman Girl Entering Highschoolđź““
This is my last year of highschool and I’m hoping that all of the articles I read labeled “Advice to a Highshool senior” will help me, so I in turn would like to help you..
- High school sucks, like it really sucks, but it’s also the best 5 years of your life.. Just as being happy is a choice so is how you spend your high school career.
- Please find a hobby, get yourself involved in a sport a club, anything! I regret not being all that involved.. Those who are involved usually have more fun, that and it looks great on college applications, you’re also more likely to receive scholarships.
- But don’t get “too involved” don’t overwhelm yourself, for example don’t go to school, work a full time job, and try to become a cheerleader all in a matter of months and then end up overwhelming yourself and quitting everything like me.
- Don’t date that senior boy, he really probably doesn’t care about you, chances are if he wants to date a freshman it’s because girls his age already know what he’s about and won’t take him.. Don’t be that girl that’s vulnerable and dumb.
- Don’t date older guys period, they suck. You think they’ll be more mature, or that they’re involved or good looking and strong and built compared to the guys in your grade, but trust me they’re not nearly as grown as you think they are.
Study, Study, Study!
- Really, I know it sounds lame and it’s definitely not your favorite thing to do after a long day of work, especially on your weekend but just do it. Even if you even look at it for 5 minutes it will really help you. Schools more important than you think and the last thing you want is to be going into your senior year thinking “Wow I wish I would have tried harder, how will any college except me?”
- DO YOUR RESEARCH PAPER, I REPEAT DO YOUR RESEARCH PAPER.
- It counts for like half your grade and you do not want to be held back in an English or Math class.
Don’t sweat the small stuff..
- What seems like a huge deal now probably won’t be later on, if you fail one Bio test you will not end up working at your local Walmart.
- People are mean, like really mean. But people are also nice, like really nice. Take the good with the bad and don’t take things so much to heart.
