Good Thoughts! ☺

I enjoyed your views on both the hard print and digital print of books and magazines. You did a really good job of analyzing both the positives and negatives of both sides. Along with that, you also brought up several good points that made me think about whether I prefer digital or printed media.

When you stated that you like the feeling of having a real copy of a magazine in your hands and you are able to turn a real page, I realized that I like that sense as well. I like turning real pages and, call me weird, but I like the smell of a real book. When media is posted online, the information and articles are constantly changing to keep up with what is happening at that very moment in time. With a physical book, magazine, newspaper, etc., the information is set and does not change. Sometimes it is frustrating for me if I read an article one day, and cannot find it the next because it was replaced with a more recent event.

But your thoughts on digital print were valid as well. It is nice to open up the book that you were reading and have the page that you are currently on, open. Kindles, Nooks, iPads, and other digital reading devices can be heavy, but books can be also. A Kindle would stay in better condition as it does not get its nonexistent pages crinkled and ripped while in your book bag like many books do.

There are definitely many positives and negatives to both sides of digital and hard copy print. In the end, I believe that it is up to the reader’s preference. Some people do not like the idea of staring at a screen for hours while they read. Other prefer being able to switch between magazines in a split second with the same device in their hands. I enjoy both of options, but I am not sure which I prefer over the other.

You did an excellent job in this article Kenny G! ☺
