This article confused me in many ways.
I’m European (Belgian) and we have the same thing over here. In fact, as I saw the picture, I thought there would be a mention of Belgium, or at least Europe, in the article, as there are more places that sell this stuff in belgium than there are supermarkets.
But! Over here it’s not considered Greek, but Turkish and is called Pita in stead of Gyro (I’ve never heard of Gyro).
There is, however, an east european dish (I think it’s Hungarian), called Gyros, which is meat in a spicy tomato sauce.
Oh, I’m so confused. :)
