Hi Esteban, thank you for sharing your thoughts and the link to Wesley So’s story. Fascinating person and life, and very encouraging too! I think faith can start from or be helped by intellectual pursuits, as long as things like inner prejudice are not in the way. Perhaps the tricky thing is not intellectualism, but pride…pride that only smart people know all, when actually people with seemingly lower IQs are just as valuable and are able to know the truth too, perhaps in different ways. But being intellectual and being faithful don’t have to be mutually exclusive. I agree with you though that having a personal relationship with God is more important than just knowing about Him.
