I think I would have missed that subtle piece, Karthik Rajan, the question your grandfather didn’t ask. And now, all I can think about is how so many people introduce themselves with a sentence describing where they work and what they do. What a waste.
That reminds me that a few years ago I decided that when I meet young girls, I will no longer say things like: “you’re so pretty!” A few days ago, when I met two girls around 6 & 8 years old, my first words to them were: “you look like a smarty-pants with your sparkly eyes! What do you think you’re best at in school?” Your grandfather’s subtle wisdom is never lost as long as you continue to share, Karthik.
